The first publication is the development of the main character, his friend the dragon, and the hero's weapons.
This is my work for the Smirnov School competition. I didn't get everything done, but I tried my best. I wanted to break away from my usual fantasy style and try something new more sci-fi. I continued working on the stylized shapes and colors, as I'm accustomed to. It turned out pretty well.
Since the assignment called for some interaction between the main character and the dragons, I dressed him in something comfortable for riding. Also, since fighting flying creatures is easier with long-range weapons, I turned to muskets and rifles.

The dragon's mask serves as a visual connection between the animal and the human. It also shows that the animal has some human influence. I also used the pallas's cat design to emphasize its furry appearance and create a friendly image.
